AI coding agent for NinjaTrader 8

Build NinjaTrader strategies and indicators with Xen AI

Describe your trading rules in plain English and develop NinjaScript C# for NinjaTrader 8. Xen helps you plan the work, create editable source and improve it through focused revisions.

Build with Xen

From an idea to a project you can test

Build trading strategies

Set out entry signals, exits, position sizing and session rules. Generate a NinjaTrader strategy with configurable inputs you can review and test.

Create custom indicators

Describe the calculations, plots, markers and alerts you need. Start with a clear visual specification and refine the indicator on your charts.

Plan larger projects

Prompt Builder helps clarify missing decisions. A staged Build Plan breaks interacting features into smaller changes you can test as you go.

Improve existing NinjaScript

Supply your complete current source to add a feature, explain unfamiliar code or repair a fault while retaining the context of the project.

Check and repair build errors

Run the server-side Build Check to identify compiler issues. Review the repair, then compile in your own NinjaTrader installation to confirm the result.

Convert source from another platform

Adapt complete Pine Script or MetaTrader source to NinjaTrader 8. Review any differences in order handling, calculations and platform behaviour before testing.

Your workflow

Build, check and refine in stages

01

Describe the behaviour

Choose Strategy or Indicator and explain the rules, inputs and expected output.

02

Build a focused version

Review the generated NinjaScript and compare it with your original requirements.

03

Import and compile

After a successful Build Check, download an Add-On ZIP or the editable .cs source. Compile it in NinjaTrader.

04

Test and refine

Use charts, Strategy Analyzer and simulation. Bring specific observations back to Xen for the next revision.

Learn from testing

Make more of your Strategy Analyzer results

Run the backtest in NinjaTrader, then use Xen to review an exported Strategy Analyzer Summary CSV. You can include a Trades CSV for a closer look at individual outcomes. This analysis works independently of the source project and can review a strategy that was not created with Xen.

Questions

Working with Xen for NinjaTrader

Do I need to know C#?

You can describe the initial tool in plain English. Understanding your trading rules and reviewing the generated source will help you assess the result.

Does a successful Build Check mean the strategy is ready?

It confirms the checks performed by the server. Compile in NinjaTrader and test platform behaviour, order handling and risk controls in simulation before live use.

Does Xen place trades?

Xen is a development workspace and does not connect to your trading account. Any generated strategy runs only after you install and enable it in NinjaTrader.

Review and test every version. Generated code can contain errors. Compile in NinjaTrader 8, check the logic and test with historical data and a demo or simulation environment before considering live use. Historical results do not guarantee future performance.
